IWH works with you to identify causes for infertility and to enhance the opportunity for pregnancy.

Not being able to get pregnant, or not being able to carry a pregnancy to term, is a very difficult time for couples.

We consider infertility the inability to achieve pregnancy in a 12-month period without using any birth control. This is fairly common – it represents about 14% of couples in the Unites States.

We understand this process can be an overwhelming and stressful time for you. Please don’t hesitate to come to us with questions and concerns.

In-Office Procedures

Hystosonography

Hystosonography is a minimally invasive ultrasound technique to inspect the inside of a woman’s uterus. It is a valuable technique for evaluating unexplained vaginal bleeding or to investigate uterine abnormalities in women who experience infertility or multiple miscarriages.

Insemination

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure that involves placing sperm inside the uterus to facilitate fertilization. The treatment uses a catheter to place sperm directly into the uterus. The goal of IUI is to increase the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes, increasing the chance of fertilization.

Causes of infertility may be unknown, or may be related to the woman, the man or with both partners.

IWH offers in-office procedures for assessment of fertility, such as:

  • Ovulation stimulation
  • Hystosonography
  • Insemination
